Events
During the
week of the Masham Arts Festival, there are several Fringe Events,
detailed below. Please note that these events are organised independently
and inclusion in this listing does not necessarily constitute a recommendation
by the Festival Organisers.
Saturday, 20th October
10 am - 6 pm - Masham Town Hall - free
GLORIA'S GALLERY
Local Artists Exhibition by Sarah
Weightman, Pat Everest, Marjorie Robinson Clare Lindley, Angela Rawlings,
Beryl Ford, Susan-Ann Jenkins, Mandy
Barrett, Marie Lewis, Carol Archer and Gloria Fletcher. There will
be a varied and quality selection of art to view, and to buy. Exhibition
includes a professional silk artist with scarves,
ties, cards, and paintings available to buy. All artists are donating
a percentage of their sales to the Borneo Organgutan Survival Foundation.

ELLEN DEAN - BOOK SIGNING
Local author Ellen Dean will be signing copies of her novel, Beautiful
Strangers.
Ellen will donate a percentage of her book
sales to the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOS).

GEORGE MUNTON EXHIBITION - MASHAMSHIRE
SCENES
George Munton lives
in the Yorkshire Dales and finds much of his inspiration from the landscapes
and traditional
architecture that surround him. His particular focus is on light and
atmosphere, and his work has a distinctively classical feel. George
has exhibited extensively
in the North and also in several London showrooms. Please call before

POETRY READING with HAZEL CAMERON and PAT BORTHWICK
Pat Borthwick and Hazel Cameron will read their work, interspersed
intermingled with music from folk band 'Trollers Ghyll' being
Howard Charles and Geoff Wallams. Pat's has published two full-length
collections and won many prizes including the Templar Poetry Competition.
Hazel's poems and short stories have also been widely published and she
has been short-listed twice for the Callum Macdonald Memorial Award.
